Warts, Cysts, & Moles

Skin growths can be very unsightly and inconvenient—but more importantly, they can be occasionally dangerous and life threatening. Warts are hard growths on the skin, which can appear anywhere on the body. Caused by the human papilloma virus, warts can be difficult to treat.

Cysts and moles are also common skin growths that afflict the majority of the human population. They are often easy to remove in the office under local anesthesia.

So if you see a new skin growth, don’t panic—but do make sure to get it looked at as soon as possible. Following up with regular dermatologic care is not just ideal—it’s also a common sense measure for prevention, especially if you’re considered high risk for skin cancer.
