Acne/Rosacea

Acne (what we commonly refer to as zits or pimples) is a fairly common skin condition, affecting mainly young patients between the ages of 15 and 25. However, it can also affect older patients, which can be a source of embarrassment and frustration. Though acne can occur in the face, back, neck and chest, it is fortunately very treatable, with many effective medical options to choose from.

Rosacea can sometimes be misdiagnosed as acne, but it is actually a chronic inflammatory skin condition that mainly affects the face. Though there is currently no cure, it is very manageable as long as the environmental triggers are identified. With proper nutrition, lifestyle modification, and treatment, rosacea symptoms can be reduced to the point of making severe flare ups the exception rather than the rule.
